Easy to make homemade bread rolls.

Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 320 g Water
  • 1 piece fresh Yeast
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 500 g Wheat flour Type 405/Spelt flour Type 630

Activate yeast

Add water, salt and fresh yeast to the mixing bowl and heat. This step activates the yeast and ensures good volume.

Knead dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add flour Type 405/Spelt flour Type 630 and knead in kneading mode. The dough should be smooth, elastic and slightly sticky.

Shape dough

Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface, divide into 9 equal pieces and shape into tight balls.

Prepare bread rolls

Place the bread rolls on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cut each one with a sharp knife.

Let the bread rolls rest

Let the bread rolls rest for about 20 minutes. They don't have to rise much, just relax.

Preheat oven

Preheat oven: 200 °C circulating air or 225 °C top/bottom heat. Slide an empty baking sheet into the bottom of the oven.

Bake bread rolls

Pour 200 ml of hot water onto the lower baking sheet to create steam. Spray the bread rolls with water and bake for 20–30 minutes until golden brown.
