Description

This chicken tikka masala is real comfort food, perfect for cool evenings! The marinade in Greek yogurt and aromatic spices makes the chicken incredibly tender and flavorful. I often prepare it for dinner, accompanied by basmati rice and naan bread. The recipe is a bit long due to the marinating, but the end result is absolutely worth it. If you don't have time to marinate the chicken for 6 hours, you can reduce it to 2, but the flavor will be less intense. A tip? Prepare a double dose and freeze one part: it will be perfect for a quick dinner!

Ingredients (18 ingredients)

  • 150 g Greek yogurt
  • 3 clove chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 30 g grated fresh ginger
  • 1 lime juice
  • fine salt
  • 800 g chicken breast
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cipolle onions
  • 350 ml tomato sauce
  • 70 ml fresh cream
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • chili pepper
  • olive oil
  • coriander

Preparation (10 steps)

1

Chicken preparation

Cut the chicken breast into strips and then into cubes. Transfer the chicken to a bowl.

2

Chicken marinating

Add 150 g of Greek yogurt, 3 cloves of chopped garlic, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, 30 g of grated fresh ginger, the juice of 1 lime and fine salt to taste to the bowl with the chicken. Mix well, cover with cling film and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours (or up to 24 hours).

3

Baking the chicken in the oven

After the resting time, transfer the chicken and all its seasoning to a baking tray covered with baking paper and cook in a ventilated oven at 200 °C for 20 minutes. Then remove the chicken from the oven and set aside.
