Description

This juicy Tahini Nut Cake is a delicious dessert that is easy to prepare with the Thermomix®. The cake is drizzled with a creamy tahini sauce and garnished with walnuts and sesame seeds. Ideal for birthdays or as a sweet surprise for breakfast. Preparation takes about 65 minutes and the result is an aromatic cake.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 6 Stück Eggs
  • 1.5 Glas Sugar
  • 1 Glas Oil (neutral, e.g. sunflower oil)
  • 1 Glas Water
  • 1.5 Glas Flour
  • 1.5 Glas Starch (corn or wheat starch)
  • 1 Päckchen Baking powder
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 1.5 Glas Milk
  • 1 Glas Tahini (sesame paste)
  • 3 EL Powdered sugar
  • 1 Glas chopped Walnuts
  • 2 EL roasted Sesame

Preparation (7 steps)

Beat eggs and sugar

Put 6 eggs and 1.5 glasses of sugar into the mixing bowl and beat for 3 min./speed 4 until the mixture is frothy and the sugar has completely dissolved.

Add liquid ingredients

Add 1 tea glass of oil and 1 tea glass of water to the eggs and sugar in the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3.

Mix dry ingredients

Add 1.5 glasses of flour, 1.5 glasses of starch, 1 packet of baking powder and 1 packet of vanilla sugar to the mixing bowl and stir for 30 sec./speed 3 until a thick dough is formed. Use a spatula to push the ingredients down from the edge.

Bake dough

Pour the dough into a greased baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 185 °C (convection) for about 40 minutes. Test with a toothpick to see if the cake is done. If necessary, bake for another 5 minutes.

Let the cake rest and soak

After baking, let the cake rest for 10 minutes at room temperature. Prick small holes in the cake and pour 1.5 glasses of milk evenly over it.

Prepare tahini sauce

Put 1 glass of tahini and 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar into the mixing bowl and stir for 20 sec./speed 3 until a smooth sauce is formed.

Garnish cake

Spread the tahini sauce evenly over the moist cake. Finally, sprinkle 1 glass of chopped walnuts and 2 tablespoons of roasted sesame seeds over it.
