Description

This kale recipe is a hearty main course, ideal for the winter season. With Kassler (smoked pork loin), Pinkel (smoked sausage) and oatmeal, it's a savory meal. Preparation takes about 2 hours, including cooking time. The dish is rich and warming, perfect for cold days.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 1 Beutel Kale (large)
  • 5 Stück Onions
  • 1 Paket Oatmeal (small package)
  • 1 mal Lard
  • 2 mal Pinkel (fine groats)
  • 1 kg Kassler
  • Mustard

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onions

Place 5 onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Prepare kale

Add 2 liters of water to the mixing bowl. Add 1 bag of kale (large) to the mixing bowl. Place chopped onions on top of the kale.

Prepare meat and Pinkel

Place 1 kg Kassler and 2 Pinkel (fine groats) on top of the kale.

Add oatmeal and cook

Sprinkle 1/2 package of oatmeal (1 small package) over it. Put the lid on and cook on the lowest setting. Cook for at least 1 1/2 hours. Make sure there is water in the mixing bowl.

Remove meat and Pinkel

Remove meat and Pinkel from the mixing bowl.

Season

Add 3 tbsp. mustard and pepper to the mixing bowl and mix well. Add 1/2 package of lard and stir. Season with salt and pepper.
