Description

Almond-vanilla crescents are a delicious low-carb Christmas pastry, prepared in the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are almonds, butter, vanilla and Stevia. With a preparation time of 90 minutes, about 30 gluten-free crescents are created. Ideal as a Christmas dessert or finger food for the whole family.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 0.5 Stück Vanilla bean
  • 200 g Ground almonds
  • 100 g Butter
  • 30 g Stevia Sprinkle Sugar
  • 2 Stück Egg yolk
  • 1 Msp. Baking powder

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Put the pulp of half a vanilla bean, 200 g ground almonds, 100 g butter, 30 g Stevia Sprinkle Sugar, 2 egg yolks and 1 pinch of baking powder into the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min./kneading setting to a smooth dough.

Shape and cool dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, form into two rolls and wrap in cling film for one hour in the refrigerator.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 170 °C top/bottom heat. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Shape and bake crescents

Cut approx. 1 cm thick slices from the dough rolls and shape into crescents. Place on the prepared baking sheet with some space and bake for about 8 minutes.

Let the crescents cool

Remove the baked crescents from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. Then carefully remove from the baking paper and store airtight until consumption.
