Description

This lasagna is a hearty feast for the whole family! The combination of spicy salami meatballs and an aromatic tomato sauce makes it an absolute highlight. I like to make this lasagna when it's cold outside and you need something hearty. The preparation takes a while, but it's definitely worth it! You can also prepare the sauce well and then layer the lasagna shortly before eating. An absolute favorite recipe that is always well received!

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 200 g Fennel salami
  • 1 kg Ground meat
  • 2 piece Eggs (size M)
  • 50 g Breadcrumbs
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • to taste Rose paprika
  • 3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic clove
  • 2 piece Carrots
  • 1 can Tomatoes (850 ml)
  • 200 g Mozzarella
  • 1 bunch Basil
  • 10 piece Lasagna sheets

Preparation (11 steps)

Chop salami

Thermomix® Setting

Put 200 g of salami in pieces into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./level 5. Transfer.

Prepare ground meatballs

Put 1 kg of ground meat, the chopped salami, 2 eggs, 50 g of breadcrumbs, 2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of pepper and 0.5 tsp of rose paprika in a bowl and knead well. Form walnut-sized balls from the ground meat mixture.

Fry ground meatballs

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pan. Fry the meatballs all around for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Chop onion and garlic

Place 1 peeled onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Add 1 clove of garlic and chop for 3 sec./level 7. Push down with the spatula.

Sauté vegetables

Add 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Chop and add carrots

Thermomix® Setting

Put 2 carrots, peeled, quartered lengthwise and cut into pieces, in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./level 4. Push down with the spatula.

Prepare tomato sauce

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 1 can (850 ml) of tomatoes with juice and simmer for 20 min./100°C/level 1. Chop the tomatoes a little with the spatula.

Season tomato sauce

3 sec/Speed 5

Season the tomato sauce with salt, pepper and sugar. Wash 1 bunch of basil, shake dry, pluck off the leaves, put in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Stir into the sauce.

Prepare casserole dish

Preheat the oven to 200°C top/bottom heat (175°C convection). Grease a baking dish (approx. 23 x 35 cm).

Layer lasagna

Spread about 1/3 of the sauce in the casserole dish and cover with 5 lasagna sheets. Place the meatballs on top and pour about 1/3 of the tomato sauce over them. Place the remaining lasagna sheets on top. Pour the remaining sauce over it.

Cover with mozzarella and bake

Cut 200 g of mozzarella into thin slices and cover the lasagna with it. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
