Description

This gingerbread baguette with chocolate, prepared in the Thermomix®, is a festive bread for the Christmas season. The main ingredients are yeast, flour, gingerbread spice and chocolate. With a preparation time of 90 minutes, the recipe yields one baguette. Ideal as a sweet breakfast, finger food or dessert for the whole family.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 21 g fresh Yeast
  • 1 TL Sugar
  • 300 g Flour
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 2 EL Oil
  • 2 TL Gingerbread spice
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 100 g Chocolate (bittersweet or whole milk)

Preparation (8 steps)

Activate yeast

Add the fresh yeast and sugar to the mixing bowl and mix for 2 minutes / 37°C / speed 2.

Add remaining dough ingredients

Add the flour, milk, oil, gingerbread spice and salt to the mixing bowl.

Knead dough

Knead the dough for 3 minutes / knead setting.

Dough rest

Place the dough in a bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes, until doubled in size.

Chop chocolate

Thermomix® Setting

Place the chocolate, in pieces, into the mixing bowl and chop for 5 seconds / speed 5.

Fold in chocolate

Add the chocolate to the dough and carefully fold in with a spatula.

Shape baguette

Shape the dough into a baguette on a floured work surface.

Bake baguette

Place the baguette on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for approx. 20-25 minutes.
