Description

This corn, ham and onions tart is a simple and comforting delight, perfect for a quick lunch or a friendly dinner. I often prepare it with ingredients that I have on hand, and it is always appreciated. The corn brings a touch of sweetness, the ham a salty flavor and the onions a slightly tangy note. The fresh cream and grated Gruyère cheese make it all creamy and delicious. A little nutmeg enhances the flavors. This is a recipe that I highly recommend, especially when you lack time but want to indulge yourself with a tasty and easy to make dish.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 pâte puff pastry
  • 2 piece eggs
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 tbsp diced ham
  • 1 tbsp diced onion
  • 1 brique liquid fresh cream
  • 2 c. à s. mustard
  • 1 tbsp grated Gruyère cheese
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt or fine salt
  • 1 pinch pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Preheat the oven and prepare the pastry

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Spread the puff pastry on a baking sheet.

Prepare the onions

Thermomix® Setting

Cut the onion into four and put it in the Thermomix bowl. Chop 3 Sek./Stufe 5.

Mix the ingredients

In a bowl, mix the eggs, liquid fresh cream, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Whisk lightly.

Assemble the quiche

Spread the mustard on the puff pastry. Distribute the diced onions and the diced ham on the pastry. Add the drained corn. Pour the egg-cream mixture over the filling. Sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese.

Bake the quiche

Bake the quiche in the preheated oven at 180°C for 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
