Description

Manty are traditional dumplings.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 250 g Water
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 500 g Flour
  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 750 g Ground meat
  • 55 g Water
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper
  • 700 g Water

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 250 g water, 500gr. flour and 1 tsp salt to the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./knead setting.

Let dough rest

Place the dough in a lightly floured bowl, cover and let rest for 20 minutes.

Chop onions

8 sec/Speed 5

Put 2 onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 8 sec./speed 5. Use the spatula to scrape everything down from the edge of the mixing bowl and chop again for 3 sec./speed 5.

Prepare filling

1,5 min/Kneading speed

Add 750 g ground meat, 55 g water, 1 tsp salt and pepper to the onions and mix for 1.5 min./knead setting.

Shape Manty

Place the dough on a floured work surface, form a ball and then quarter it. Roll each ball into a large square (not too thin) and cut it so that it results in several squares. Place a heaped tsp of filling on each square. Bring all corners together in the middle and close the open sides. Then bring two ends together and press firmly.

Steam Manty

25 min/Varoma/Speed 2 Varoma

Put 700 g water in the mixing bowl, lightly grease the simmering basket, insert it and fill it with Manty. Also grease the Varoma container and insert, place Manty in it and place on top, close the Varoma and steam for 25 min./Varoma/speed 2.
