Description

With the Thermomix®, these marzipan almond crescents made from marzipan raw material, powdered sugar, egg white and almonds are made in no time. The recipe from the confectionery category makes about 12 servings and is prepared in about 65 minutes. Ideal as Christmas finger food or sweet dessert. Suitable for anyone who loves almonds and marzipan.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 400 g Marzipan raw material
  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 2 Egg white
  • 1 Prise Orange peel flavor
  • 200 g Slivered almonds
  • 200 g Couverture

Preparation (8 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet

Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Prepare marzipan

Cut 400 g of marzipan raw material into small pieces and place in the mixing bowl.

Mix marzipan

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Add 200 g powdered sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 2 egg whites and 1 pinch of orange peel flavor to the marzipan raw material in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 4 until a smooth dough is formed. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula and repeat the process.

Prepare slivered almonds

Place 200 g of slivered almonds on a flat plate.

Shape marzipan

Remove the marzipan dough from the mixing bowl and divide into 12 equal portions, each formed into an approx. 10 cm long strand and carefully rolled in the almonds. Bend into crescents and place on the prepared baking sheet with some space between them.

Bake almond crescents

Bake the almond crescents for 12-15 minutes until the almonds are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.

Melt couverture

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

Cut 200 g of couverture into pieces and place in the mixing bowl. Melt for 3 min/50°C/speed 2.

Decorate almond crescents

Dip the tips of the cooled almond crescents into the liquid chocolate and let them dry on a wire rack.
