Description

I love this smoked trout mousse, it's a fresh and delicate starter, perfect for parties or a Sunday brunch. The smoked trout, combined with fresh cheese and aromatic herbs, offers an explosion of flavors in the mouth. It is a quick dish to prepare, ideal when you have little time but want to impress your guests. I often serve it in individual verrines, decorated with a few trout eggs for a festive touch. It can also be spread on toasted bread for a gourmet aperitif. A real treat!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 4 slice Smoked trout
  • 400 g Fresh cheese
  • 1 container Trout
  • Fine herbs
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop the herbs and garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Put the fine herbs and garlic in the Thermomix bowl and chop finely for 5 Sek./Stufe 7.

Cut the smoked trout

Finely chop the slices of smoked trout into small dice, reserving 5 thin strips for decoration.

Mix the ingredients

10 sec/Linkslauf Speed 2 Reverse

Put the fresh cheese, chopped herbs, garlic and diced smoked trout in the Thermomix bowl. Salt and pepper to your liking. Mix gently for 10 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 2.

Incorporate the trout eggs

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Linkslauf Speed 1 Reverse

Add the trout eggs to the Thermomix bowl (reserving a few for decoration). Mix gently for 5 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 1.

Refrigerate

Place cling film on the Thermomix bowl, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Dress and decorate

Arrange the trout mousse in pretty containers (verrines, small jars, pretty glasses,...). Place a strip of smoked trout and a few trout eggs on top.
