Description

This Thermomix® recipe for spice muffins with marzipan is a festive pastry with margarine, eggs, sugar, flour and marzipan. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 50 minutes and yields 12 servings. Ideal as a Christmas breakfast, finger food or dessert. Suitable for those who love winter aromas and marzipan.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 125 g Margarine (at room temperature)
  • 25 g Margarine
  • 2 Eggs
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 200 g Flour
  • 2 TL Baking powder
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 50 g Marzipan raw material
  • 4 - 6 drops bitter almond flavor
  • 50 g Almonds (chopped)
  • 50 g Raisins
  • 50 g Candied lemon peel (succade)
  • 50 g Candied orange peel
  • 3 EL Powdered sugar

Preparation (8 steps)

Preheat oven and prepare muffin tin

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (convection: 160 °C). Grease the wells of the muffin tin or line with paper liners. This is a preparation step without Thermomix setting.

Mix margarine, eggs and sugar

Add 125 g of margarine at room temperature, 2 eggs and 100 g of sugar to the mixing bowl and mix for 1 min./speed 4.

Mix flour and baking powder

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/keine/Speed 3

Add 200 g flour and 2 tsp baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 3.

Stir in flour mixture and milk

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/keine/Speed 3

Add the flour mixture and 150 ml of milk to the mixing bowl and stir in for 20 sec./speed 3. Use the spatula to push down from the edge and, if necessary, stir for another 5 sec./speed 3.

Add marzipan, aroma, almonds, raisins, candied lemon peel and candied orange peel

Cut 50 g marzipan into small cubes and add to the mixing bowl with 4-6 drops of bitter almond flavor, 50 g chopped almonds, 50 g raisins, 50 g candied lemon peel and 50 g candied orange peel. Fold in for 20 sec./reverse rotation speed 2.

Fill dough into muffin tins and bake

Distribute the dough evenly into the prepared muffin tins. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Use a wooden skewer to check if the muffins are ready - no liquid dough should stick to the skewer. This is a baking process outside of the Thermomix.

Melt margarine

2 min/122°F/Speed 1 50

Add 25 g margarine to the mixing bowl and melt for 2 min./50°C/speed 1.

Brush muffins and sprinkle with powdered sugar

Let the baked muffins rest for 2-3 minutes, remove from the muffin tin. While still warm, brush with the melted margarine and sprinkle thickly with 3 tbsp powdered sugar. Let marzipan stollen muffins cool and enjoy. This is a final step without Thermomix setting.
