Description

This festive cheese ball wreath is a delightful appetizer, perfect for holiday gatherings or any special occasion. I've been making this for years, and it's always a hit! The creamy cheese base, infused with taco seasoning and studded with fresh cilantro, green onions, and a hint of spice from the jalapeno, creates a flavor explosion. The vibrant tomato and onion topping adds a fresh, colorful touch. It's easy to prepare ahead of time, making it ideal for stress-free entertaining. Serve with your favorite crackers or tortilla chips for a crowd-pleasing treat!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 225 g cream cheese
  • 225 g Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro, stems removed
  • 4 stalk green onions, roughly chopped
  • 1 can diced green chile peppers
  • 1 piece medium Roma tomato, cored and diced
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped white onion
  • 1 piece medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped

Transfer and refrigerate

Transfer cheese mixture to the lined bowl and press to smooth. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to 8 hours or overnight.

5

Invert and shape

Invert cheese onto a serving platter and remove plastic. Use a small shot glass or spoon to create a hole in the center of the cheese to form a wreath shape.

6

Prepare cilantro topping

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 5

Finely chop remaining cilantro leaves in the Thermomix for 3 Sek./Stufe 5.

3
7

Cover with cilantro

Lightly cover the top of the cheese with the chopped cilantro.

8

Prepare tomato topping

Combine 1 medium diced Roma tomato, 2 tablespoons finely chopped white onion, and 1 medium seeded and finely chopped jalapeno pepper in a small bowl.
