Description

These chocolate spelt bread rolls from the Thermomix® are a delicious snack or a sweet breakfast. The main ingredients are chocolate and spelt flour, combined with a simple curd cheese-oil dough. Preparation takes about 40 minutes and yields 10 rolls. Ideal for anyone who loves spelt pastries and is looking for a sweet treat. Category: Bread and bread rolls.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 100 g Bittersweet or Whole milk chocolate
  • 1 Portion Ingredients for curd cheese-oil dough (see p. 66, where the wheat flour is replaced by spelt flour Type 630)
  • 1 Stück Egg yolk
  • 1 EL Milk
  • 1 EL Butter (for greasing)
  • 1 EL Flour (for processing)

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop chocolate

Cut 100 g of bittersweet or whole milk chocolate into small cubes and put them in the freezer for a short time.

Prepare dough

Put the ingredients for the curd cheese-oil dough (see p. 66, where the wheat flour is replaced by spelt flour Type 630) into the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min./kneading level.

Knead in chocolate

Add the chocolate cubes from the freezer to the dough in the mixing bowl and briefly knead in for 15 sec./speed 3.

Shape and brush bread rolls

Shape the dough into a roll on a lightly floured work surface and cut into 10 equal pieces. Shape into balls, flatten slightly and place on a baking sheet greased with butter. Whisk together 1 egg yolk and 1 tbsp of milk and brush the rolls with it.

Bake

Bake the rolls in a preheated oven at 175°C (top/bottom heat) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
