Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 250 g Margarine (room temperature)
  • 2 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 4 Eggs
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 Päckchen Baking powder
  • 150 g Chocolate chips
  • 125 ml Mulled wine
  • 50 ml Mulled wine
  • 190 g Powdered sugar
  • 100 g Almonds (chopped)
  • Baking paper

Preparation (10 steps)

Mix margarine, sugar and vanilla sugar

Thermomix® Setting
40 sec/Speed 4

Put 250 g of room temperature margarine, 250 g of sugar and 2 packets of vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec/speed 4. Scrape down the sides with the spatula and mix for another 10 sec/speed 4.

Add eggs

Add 4 eggs one after the other through the lid opening and mix for 10 sec/speed 3 each time. Scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Mix flour, baking powder and chocolate chips

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 4

Put 250 g of flour and 1 packet of baking powder into the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 4. Add 150 g of chocolate chips and fold in for 5 sec/speed 3.

Stir in the mulled wine

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 125 ml of mulled wine and mix for 20 sec/speed 3. Scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Preheat the oven and prepare the dough

Preheat the oven to 200 °C (convection: 180 °C). Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Bake the dough

Place the dough on the prepared baking sheet and smooth it out. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.

Let the cake cool

Remove the baked cake from the oven and let it cool completely.

Prepare the glaze

20 sec/Speed 3

Put 190 g of powdered sugar and 50 ml of mulled wine into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/speed 3. If necessary, add a little more mulled wine until the desired consistency is reached.

Apply glaze and sprinkle with almonds

Spread the glaze on the cooled cake and sprinkle 100 g of chopped almonds over it.

Let the cake cool and cut

Let the cake cool completely with the glaze and then cut into triangles.
