Description

This dish is a real hit when you need something quick! The spicy minced meat with lime and coriander is super aromatic and goes perfectly with fluffy basmati rice. I love making it when I fancy something exotic but don't want to spend hours in the kitchen. The fresh soybean sprouts add a nice crunch. If you don't like it so spicy, you can of course be a little more sparing with the Sambal Oelek. An absolute favorite recipe for the end of the day!

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Vegetable onion
  • 2 clove Garlic
  • 2 piece Limes
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 600 g Mixed minced meat
  • 150 g Mung bean sprouts
  • 250 g Basmati rice
  • to taste Salt
  • 6 Stiele Coriander
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tbsp Sambal Oelek
  • 7 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 pinch Sugar

Prepare onion and garlic

Peel and quarter the vegetable onion and place in the mixing bowl. Peel the garlic cloves and add. Chop for 3 seconds/speed 5. Use the spatula to push everything down from the edge.

Sauté onion and garlic

Thermomix® Setting

Add 2 tablespoons of oil and sauté for 3 minutes/120°C/speed 1.

Fry minced meat

Remove the sautéed onion and garlic mixture from the mixing bowl and set aside. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan, crumble the minced meat into it and fry vigorously, turning occasionally.

Prepare sprouts

Wash the mung bean sprouts, place in a bowl, pour boiling water over them and let them steep for 2-3 minutes. Then pour into a sieve and drain.

Cook rice

Prepare 250 g of basmati rice in boiling salted water according to package directions.

Season and deglaze minced meat

Season the fried minced meat with salt, pepper and 2-3 tablespoons of Sambal Oelek. Deglaze with the set aside onion and garlic mixture, the juice of 1 lime and 7-8 tablespoons of soy sauce.

Finish minced meat

Mix in the drained sprouts, the grated zest of 1 lime, the lime cut into pieces and the coriander leaves. Briefly heat and season again with salt, pepper and 1 pinch of sugar.

Arrange

Arrange the spicy minced meat on plates and serve with the basmati rice.
