Description

Discover this delicious and original cassava dough pizza recipe, a perfect gluten-free alternative to enjoy with family or friends. Cassava gives a slightly sweet touch and a soft and crunchy texture to the base, which combines perfectly with your favorite ingredients. This recipe is very easy to prepare with the Thermomix® and allows you to experiment with different flavors. It is also an excellent option for people with gluten intolerance.

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 1 kilogramo cassava
  • 40 gramos butter
  • 100 gramos white cheese
  • 1 puñado oregano
  • 0.5 cucharadita salt

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare and cook the cassava

Wash and cut 1 kilogram of cassava into medium pieces. Place the pieces in a pot with boiling water and cook until soft. This step is performed outside the Thermomix.

Drain the cassava

Drain the cooked cassava in a colander until all the water comes out. Make sure to remove as much water as possible to obtain a consistent dough. This step is performed outside the Thermomix.

Make cassava puree

Place the drained and still hot cassava in the Thermomix glass. Crush for 30 seconds/Stufe 6 until a smooth and consistent puree is obtained. If necessary, repeat the process for a few more seconds.

Add ingredients to the puree

20 sec/Speed 4

Add 40 grams of butter, 100 grams of white cheese, ½ teaspoon of salt and a handful of oregano to taste to the cassava puree. Mix everything for 20 seconds/Stufe 4 until well integrated.

Knead the dough

2 min/Kneading speed

Knead the mixture for 2 minutes/Knetstufe until a homogeneous dough is obtained. If the dough is very sticky, add a little cornstarch or corn flour until the desired consistency is obtained.

Spread the dough

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a pizza pan with butter or oil. Spread the cassava dough in the mold until it covers the entire surface. This step is performed outside the Thermomix.

Precook the base

Bake the pizza base for 5 minutes at 180°C. This step is performed outside the Thermomix.

Add the sauce and ingredients

Spread tomato sauce on the precooked base. Add the ingredients you want, such as ham, mozzarella cheese, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil and oregano. This step is performed outside the Thermomix.

Bake the pizza

Bake the pizza for 1 minute at 180°C, or until the cheese is melted and lightly golden. This step is performed outside the Thermomix.
