Description

This dish of chicken with chicory and fresh cream is a comforting delight, perfect for autumn or winter evenings. I often prepare it when I want a simple but tasty meal. Chicory, slightly bitter, goes perfectly with the sweetness of the cream and the tenderness of the chicken. It is a dish that can be easily adapted according to your tastes, for example by adding mushrooms or fresh herbs. Accompanied by potato croquettes, crispy fries or tagliatelle with butter, it's a real treat! The preparation is quick and the result is always appreciated.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken breast(s)
  • 1 kg Very fresh chicory
  • 1 can Fresh cream
  • Nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation of chicory

Wash 1 kg of fresh chicory, then separate the leaves one by one.

Cooking the chicory

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Put the chicory leaves in the Thermomix bowl. Add a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper and a pinch of nutmeg. Cook 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Preparation of the chicken

Remove the cooked chicory from the bowl and set aside. Cut 4 chicken breasts into medium-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper.

Cooking the chicken

Heat a little fat in a frying pan. Cook the seasoned chicken pieces until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Final mixing and cooking

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/140°F/Speed 2/Linkslauf 60 Reverse

Put the cooked chicory back into the Thermomix bowl. Add the cooked chicken and 1 can of fresh cream. Season again with salt and pepper according to your taste. Heat 5 Min./60°C/Stufe 2/Linkslauf, letting the fresh cream melt slowly.

Serve

Serve immediately with croquettes, fries or tagliatelle with butter.
