Description

This chicken with peppers dish is a real delight, perfect for a convivial meal with family or friends. I often prepare it in the autumn, when the peppers are at their peak. The sauce, creamy and slightly sweet, gently coats the chicken, creating a harmony of flavors that will delight your taste buds. The preparation is simple and quick, ideal for weeknights when you lack time. Feel free to accompany this dish with fresh pasta or rice for a complete and tasty meal. A real treat!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken breast(s)
  • 2 c. à soupe Onion(s)
  • 500 g Pepper(s)
  • 3 c. à soupe White vermouth
  • 2 c. à soupe Olive oil
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 100 g Fresh cream
  • 25 g Butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation of ingredients

Salt and pepper the chicken breasts. Brown them in a pan with 25g of butter for 10 minutes. Set aside. Thinly slice 2 onions.

Chop the onions

Put the sliced onions in the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3 Sek./Stufe 5.

Sauté the onions

Add 2 tbsp of olive oil to the Thermomix bowl and sauté the onions for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add the peppers

Add 500g of peppers cut into pieces (frozen or fresh) to the Thermomix bowl. Salt, pepper and sprinkle with a pinch of sugar.

Cooking the peppers

Cook the peppers for 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the chicken and continue cooking

15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add the browned chicken breasts to the Thermomix bowl. Cover and continue cooking for 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Add the vermouth

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Remove the lid and add 3 tbsp of white vermouth. Continue cooking for 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Mix the sauce

Mix the peppers and onions with the cooking juices for 30 Sek./Stufe 8, gradually increasing the speed.

Add the fresh cream

Thermomix® Setting

Add 100g of fresh cream and mix again for 10 Sek./Stufe 4.

Adjust the seasoning

Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary.

Reduce the sauce

3 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Put the sauce back in the Thermomix bowl and reduce it for 3 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Coat the chicken breasts with this sauce and serve with fresh pasta.
