Description

This crispy fried chicken is a classic of homemade cooking, perfect for a Sunday lunch with the family or an informal dinner with friends. The recipe is simple and quick, but the result is golden and succulent chicken, irresistible for young and old. I prepare it often, especially when I want something delicious and comforting. The secret lies in the breading, which must be uniform and well adhered to the meat. Serve it with French fries or a fresh salad for a complete and satisfying meal. A tip? Try adding a pinch of paprika to the flour for an extra touch of flavor!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 3 kg chicken for frying – cut into pieces
  • 2.5 tazze seed oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Preparation of the flour

Pour 1 cup of flour into a sturdy food storage bag.

Flouring the chicken

Introduce, two at a time, the pieces of chicken (3 kg cut into pieces) into the bag with the flour, keep it closed and shake well until they are evenly floured.

Seasoning the chicken

Arrange the floured chicken pieces on a flat surface and sprinkle them with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.

Heating the oil

Pour 2 and ½ cups of seed oil into a large iron skillet and heat the oil over medium-high heat.

Frying the chicken

When the oil is hot, place the chicken pieces well arranged, using kitchen tongs. Cover and cook for 25-30 minutes, turning the pieces 4 or 5 times, until they have reached a nice golden color.

Drying and storage

Remove the chicken from the pan, dry off excess grease on absorbent paper. Keep it crispy by wrapping each piece in wax paper.
