Description

These oven-baked chicken patties are a healthier and equally delicious alternative to traditional fried burgers. I've been making these for years, and they're always a hit! The combination of ground chicken, blackened seasoning, and a hint of liquid smoke creates a savory and slightly smoky flavor that's simply irresistible. They're perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a casual weekend brunch. Plus, they're packed with protein and relatively low in fat, making them a guilt-free indulgence. Feel free to add a pinch of chili flakes for an extra kick! They are great in a bun or on a salad.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 2 pounds ground chicken
  • 1 piece large egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1.5 tsp blackened seasoning
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 leaves fresh basil, chopped

Preparation (5 steps)

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). This step does not involve the Thermomix.

Chop basil

Place 6 fresh basil leaves into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 5.

Combine ingredients

Add 2 pounds ground chicken, 1 large beaten egg, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, 1 ½ teaspoons blackened seasoning, 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder to the mixing bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 3/Linkslauf to combine, being careful not to overmix.

Form patties

Use a 1-cup measuring cup to form and portion 4 patties. Place into a cast iron skillet. Press patties with the back of the measuring cup to form burgers. This step does not involve the Thermomix.

Bake patties

Bake in the preheated oven until cooked through and no longer pink in the centers, 18 to 20 minutes. This step does not involve the Thermomix.
