Description

These grilled potato spirals are a real eye-catcher and taste simply delicious! I especially like to make them in the summer when the grill is already heated up anyway. The potatoes are cut into spirals, brushed with a spicy oil marinade and then grilled indirectly until they are nice and crispy. Served with a fresh herb curd with lemon, which goes perfectly with the savory potatoes. A great dish for the grilling season, which is very popular as a side dish or as a snack. And the best part: it's vegetarian!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 2 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 0.5 Bd. Sweet paprika powder
  • 0.5 Bd. Chives
  • 1 piece Onion (red)
  • 500 g Cream curd
  • 1 piece Organic lemon

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare herbs

Prepare chives and onion. Wash the lemon in hot water and pat dry.

Chop chives

Put the chives into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 8. Transfer.

Chop onion

Thermomix® Setting

Put the red onion into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula.

Prepare herb curd

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 3

Put the cream curd, the chopped chives, the chopped onion, 1 tsp lemon zest, salt, pepper and some lemon juice into the mixing bowl and stir for 15 sec./speed 3.

Prepare potatoes

Wash the potatoes and pat them dry. Individually stick the potatoes lengthwise onto a skewer, then cut the potatoes with a knife in a spiral shape around the skewer. Carefully pull apart.

Prepare marinade

Stir together sunflower oil, salt, pepper and sweet paprika powder in a small bowl.

Brush potatoes

Brush the potato spirals with the oil marinade. Place potato spirals on a grill tray.

Grill potatoes

Grill the potato spirals indirectly at approx. 175 °C for approx. 35 minutes until they are cooked and lightly browned.
