Description

This sweet and sour chicken with pineapple is a dish that I often prepare at home. The combination of sweet, sour and salty flavors is simply irresistible. Pineapple gives it a fresh and exotic touch that makes it perfect for any occasion. The key is to marinate the chicken for at least a few hours, or even overnight! This ensures that it is juicy and full of flavor. Serve this dish with white rice for a complete and delicious meal. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Ingredients (18 ingredients)

  • 2 piece chicken breasts
  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1 piece egg
  • 45 g flour
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 90 g ketchup style tomato sauce
  • 50 g brown sugar
  • 40 ml vinegar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 7 g cornstarch
  • 60 ml water
  • 1 piece green pepper
  • 1 piece red pepper
  • 1 piece yellow pepper
  • 1 piece sweet onion
  • 100 g chopped natural pineapple

Preparation (7 steps)

1

Marinate the chicken

Cut 2 chicken breasts into cubes and place them in a bowl. Add 60 ml of soy sauce, 1 tsp of salt and 2 chopped garlic cloves. Stir well, cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, ideally overnight. Beat 1 egg and add it to the marinated chicken, mixing until well integrated.

2

Flour and fry the chicken

Gradually add 45 g of flour to the marinated chicken, stirring constantly. Take each cube of chicken and pass it through 50 g of cornstarch, pressing lightly so that it adheres. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken in batches for a few minutes until golden brown. Remove and place on absorbent paper.
