Description

This apple chicken is a comforting and flavorful recipe, perfect for a special meal or a family dinner. Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 10 piece chicken thighs
  • 1 piece onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 hojas bay leaf
  • 90 g butter
  • 2 cdas flour
  • 3 tzas white wine
  • 4 tzas orange juice
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 4 piece golden apples

Preparation (6 steps)

Initial cooking of the chicken

Place 10 chicken thighs in a large pot. Add water to cover, 2 handfuls of salt, 1 onion cut into quarters, 1 clove of garlic and 2 bay leaves. Cook until the chicken is tender. Reserve the chicken and broth separately.

Sauce preparation

Place 90 g of butter in the Thermomix bowl. Program 3 Min./60°C/Speed 2 to melt the butter.

Thicken the sauce

Add 2 large tablespoons of flour to the bowl and program 2 Min./100°C/Speed 3. Stir with the spatula to ensure that the flour is well integrated and lightly browned.

Add liquids and spices

Pour 3 cups of white wine, salt and pepper to taste into the bowl. Program 5 Min./100°C/Speed 2. Stir with the spatula to ensure that it does not stick.

Finish the sauce

Add 4 cups of strained orange juice and a pinch of nutmeg to the bowl. Program 5 Min./100°C/Speed 2. Stir with the spatula to ensure that it does not stick. The sauce should thicken slightly.

Assembly and baking

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the cooked chicken in a baking dish. Cover with 4 sliced golden apples. Pour the sauce over the chicken and apples. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
