Description

This honey and barbecue sauce glazed chicken is a true triumph of flavors! The meat, tender and juicy, blends perfectly with the sweetness of honey and the smoky note of barbecue sauce. Perfect for a family dinner or a barbecue with friends, this dish is easy to prepare and will definitely make a great impression. I often prepare it during the summer, when I want something tasty and delicious. A tip? Accompany it with baked potatoes or a fresh salad for a complete and satisfying meal. The marinade makes the chicken even more flavorful!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 1.2 kg chicken in pieces
  • 30 ml light beer
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 piece lemon slices
  • fresh rosemary
  • pepper
  • fine salt
  • 50 g honey
  • 100 g barbecue sauce
  • 30 ml light beer

Preparation (6 steps)

Chicken marinade

In a large bowl, put the chicken pieces. Add 30 ml of light beer, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, fine salt to taste, pepper to taste and fresh rosemary to taste. Mix well to evenly distribute the seasonings.

Addition of lemon

Add the slices of 1 lemon to the bowl with the chicken and mix gently.

Sauce preparation

In a separate bowl, combine 100 g of barbecue sauce, 50 g of honey and 30 ml of light beer. Mix until you get a homogeneous sauce.

Marinating with the sauce

Pour half of the sauce into the bowl with the chicken and mix thoroughly to coat the meat well. Cover with film and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Baking in the oven

Remove the lemon slices from the chicken and arrange the chicken pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated ventilated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes.

Glazing and final cooking

After the first 15 minutes of cooking, brush the chicken with the remaining sauce and continue cooking for another 15 minutes. Turn the chicken and brush again with the sauce. Let it cook for another 10 minutes and brush the sauce on the meat for the last time 5 minutes before finishing cooking, so as to obtain a bright and flavorful glaze.
