Description

This creamy mashed potatoes is the perfect side dish for any main course. I prepare it often because it is very easy and quick to make with the Thermomix®. The key is in the quality of the potatoes and in adding a good splash of milk or water to achieve a smooth and homogeneous texture. A little butter and freshly ground black pepper give it the perfect final touch. Ideal to accompany meats, fish or vegetables! If you want to give it a special touch, you can add a few egg yolks and gratinate it in the oven. A guaranteed success in any family meal!

Ingredients (5 ingredients)

  • 400 gramos Water or Milk
  • 800 gramos Potatoes
  • 1.5 piece Chicken Broth Cubes
  • 50 gramos Butter or Olive oil
  • 1 pinch Pepper

Preparation of the potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into medium pieces to ensure even cooking.

Cooking the potatoes

Place the butterfly on the Thermomix blades. Add the water or milk, the chopped potatoes and the crumbled chicken broth cubes to the bowl. Program 25 Min./100°C/Speed 1.

Crushing and completion

Once the cooking time is finished, add the butter or olive oil and pepper to taste. Program 20 Sec./Speed 3 to crush and obtain a homogeneous puree. Rectify with salt if necessary.

Optional Gratin

If you want to gratin the puree, add 2 egg yolks together with the butter or oil in the previous step. Transfer the puree to a pastry bag and form rosettes on a baking sheet suitable for the oven. Gratinate in the oven or in a salamander until golden brown.
