Description

This creamy chicken and dumpling stew is the ultimate comfort food, perfect for a chilly evening. I've been making this recipe for my family for years, and it's always a hit! The tender chicken, combined with the soft dumplings and creamy broth, creates a hearty and satisfying meal. It's especially delicious during the colder months, and it's a great way to use up leftover chicken. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables, like peas and carrots, for extra flavor and nutrition. This stew is also ideal for meal prepping – it tastes even better the next day!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 piece large chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 950 ml chicken stock
  • 24 ounce frozen dumpling wrappers
  • 2 cup cream of chicken soup
  • 1.5 cup frozen peas and carrots
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper

Preparation (4 steps)

Season and cook the chicken

Thermomix® Setting

Season the chicken breast with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Place the seasoned chicken breast and 475ml of chicken stock into the Thermomix. Cook for 25 Min./100°C/Reverse/Stufe 1.

Shred the chicken

Remove the cooked chicken from the Thermomix and shred it using two forks. Set aside.

Add dumplings and chicken

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Reverse/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the frozen dumpling wrappers to the broth in the Thermomix, stirring gently to prevent sticking. Add the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, and remaining 475ml of chicken stock. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 10 Min./100°C/Reverse/Stufe 1.

Add vegetables and serve

Stir in the frozen peas and carrots. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes until warmed through. Serve immediately.
