Description

This Thermomix® recipe for oven-baked potato slices is a hearty and inexpensive dish with just a few ingredients: waxy potatoes, onions, olive oil, and spices. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes 55 minutes, with 20 minutes of active work. The recipe is vegetarian and yields 4 servings. Ideal as a main course for student cooking or as a side dish for a family meal.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1000 g waxy potatoes
  • 1 kleine onion
  • 3 EL olive oil
  • 1 Prise salt
  • 0.5 TL sweet paprika powder
  • 1 Bund flat-leaf parsley

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare potatoes

Peel 1 kg of waxy potatoes and cut into slices about 0.5 cm thick. Place the potato slices in a bowl.

Chop onion

Peel and quarter 1 small onion and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Sauté onion

Thermomix® Setting

Add 3 tbsp of olive oil to the chopped onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Season potatoes

Add the sautéed onions from the mixing bowl to the potato slices in the bowl. Add 1 pinch of salt and 1/2 tsp of sweet paprika powder and mix well.

Bake potatoes

Spread the seasoned potato slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C convection for 25 minutes.

Mix in onions and finish baking

Remove the potato slices from the oven, mix in the remaining onions (if any are left) and bake for another 10 minutes until golden brown.

Serve

Sprinkle the finished potato slices with fresh, chopped flat-leaf parsley and serve.
