Description

This stuffed chicken roll is a traditional Argentinian recipe, perfect for special celebrations such as Christmas or New Year's Eve. The chicken breast, boneless and stuffed with cooked ham, carrot, pepper, peas and hard-boiled eggs, becomes a festive and delicious dish. The touch of grated cheese and spices give it a unique flavor. Although it requires a little patience to prepare, the end result is worth it. It can be served hot or cold, accompanied by a fresh salad or baked potatoes. A dish that always triumphs at the table!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Chicken breast
  • 4 piece Hard-boiled eggs
  • 1 piece Carrot
  • 3 lonchas Cooked ham
  • 1 piece Green pepper
  • 1 cup Peas
  • 1 cucharadita Grated cheese
  • 1 cucharada postre Salt
  • 1 cucharadita Black pepper
  • 1 cucharadita Paprika
  • 1 cucharadita Ground chili

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare the ingredients

Make sure you have all the ingredients ready and at hand to begin preparing the chicken roll.

Grate the carrot

Thermomix® Setting

Insert 1 unit of peeled carrot into the bowl and grate for 5 Seg./Stufe 5. Remove and reserve.

Prepare the pepper

Prick 1 unit of green pepper with a fork and burn it over a flame to remove the skin. Then, place it in a bowl with cold water to clean it completely. Cut it into strips and reserve.

Debone and flatten the chicken breast

With a sharp knife, remove the skin and debone 1 unit of chicken breast, opening it carefully to keep it as whole as possible. Spread the breast on aluminum foil.

Season the breast

Sprinkle over the spread breast 1 dessert spoonful of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of paprika and 1 teaspoon of ground chili.

Fill the breast

Distribute the grated carrot, 3 slices of cooked ham cut into pieces, the green pepper in strips, 1 cup of peas and 1 teaspoon of grated cheese over the breast. Place 4 units of hard-boiled eggs on one end.

Roll and tie the chicken

Roll the breast carefully, using the aluminum foil to help. Remove the paper and tie the roll with kitchen twine to maintain the shape.

Bake the chicken roll

Place the chicken roll in a baking dish with a drizzle of oil. Bake for approximately 60 Min. at 200°C, moving it so that it browns on all sides.

Serve

Once ready, remove the chicken roll from the oven, cut it into thick slices and serve with the desired garnish.
