Description

This Swiss Hörnlisalat is a hearty and satisfying dish, ideal as a main course or side dish. The combination of hörnli, sausage and a creamy salad dressing makes it a popular classic. Preparation is quick and easy with the Thermomix®. The salad is perfect for parties, barbecues or a quick lunch and can be prepared well in advance.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 500 g Hörnli
  • 200 g Sausage
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 1 Zehe Garlic
  • 6 Stück Pickled cucumbers
  • 100 g Mayonnaise
  • 100 g Yogurt
  • 1 EL Mustard
  • 1 EL Vinegar
  • 1 Prise Sugar
  • nach Geschmack Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • 2 EL Oil

Preparation (8 steps)

Cook hörnli

Put 500 g hörnli in a pot and cook in salted water according to the package instructions. Then drain and let cool.

Fry meat

Fry 200 g sausage in a separate pan with a little oil until lightly browned. Then let cool and cut into cubes.

Chop onion and garlic

Put 1 peeled onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Add 1 clove of garlic and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add 2 tbsp oil to the chopped onions and garlic in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Chop pickled cucumbers

Thermomix® Setting

Put 6 pickled cucumbers in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 4.

Prepare salad dressing

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add 100 g mayonnaise, 100 g yogurt, 1 tbsp mustard, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 pinch sugar, salt and pepper to the pickled cucumbers in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 3.

Mix salad

Put the cooked and cooled 500 g hörnli, the fried and diced 200 g sausage and the salad dressing from the mixing bowl into a large bowl and mix carefully.

Let the salad infuse

Leave the salad to infuse in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes so that the flavors can combine well. Season again before serving and add seasoning if necessary.
