Description

These chocolate-nut tartlets are a delicious pastry, ideal for festive occasions or as a sweet treat with coffee. With hazelnuts and chocolate, they are a treat for nut lovers. Preparation takes about 45 minutes and yields approximately 20 tartlets. Perfect for birthdays or Christmas.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 125 g Margarine
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 3 Stück Eggs
  • 250 g Flour
  • 2 TL Baking powder
  • 200 g Ground hazelnuts
  • 100 g Grated chocolate
  • 25 g Candied lemon peel (finely chopped)
  • 0.75 Beutel Rum-Back
  • 1 EL Water
  • 20 Stück Whole hazelnuts
  • Chocolate glaze or couverture (bittersweet)
  • Grated almonds

Preparation (6 steps)

Mix margarine, sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy

Put 125 g margarine, 125 g sugar and 1 packet of vanilla sugar into the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./speed 3.

Stir in eggs

Add 3 eggs and stir in for 1 min./speed 3.

Mix dry ingredients and add

Mix 250 g flour and 2 teaspoons of baking powder, sift into the mixing bowl and add together with 200 g ground hazelnuts, 25 g finely chopped candied lemon peel and 1/2-1 bag of Rum-Back (depending on taste). Mix for 1 min./speed 4.

Adjust dough consistency

If the dough is too firm, add 1 tablespoon of water and stir for 30 sec./speed 3.

Baking

Place baking molds next to each other on a baking sheet and fill the molds with dough to just over half. Place a hazelnut in the middle. Slide the baking sheet onto the middle rack of the oven and bake in a preheated oven at 170-180°C (gas mark 3) for 15-20 minutes.

Garnish

After baking, let the tartlets cool. Dissolve couverture or ready-made chocolate glaze in a hot water bath. Brush the tartlets with it, leaving out the hazelnut (do not brush). Immediately sprinkle chopped almonds around the hazelnut.
