Description

This Thermomix® recipe for Schupfnudeln with Sauerkraut is a hearty main course that is ready in just 25 minutes. The main ingredients are Schupfnudeln, sauerkraut and bacon. Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 500 g Schupfnudeln
  • 400 g Sauerkraut (ready-made)
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • 75 g Bacon
  • 25 g Clarified butter
  • 1 Stück Onion
  • 0.5 TL Sugar
  • 1 Prise Black pepper, ground
  • 1 Prise Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 1 Prise Caraway, ground
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 1 nach Bedarf Chives

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare onions and bacon

Peel and quarter 1 onion. Dice 75g of bacon. Fry the bacon in a pan and set aside.

Chop onions

Place the onion quarters in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides.

Sauté onions

Add 20g of clarified butter to the onions and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Sauté sauerkraut

Add 400g of sauerkraut and sauté for 4 min./120°C/Reverse/level 1.

Season and simmer

Add 0.5 tsp sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 0.25 tsp pepper, 1 pinch of nutmeg and 1 pinch of caraway. Pour in 100 ml of vegetable broth and simmer for 5 min./100°C/Reverse/level 1.

Stir in Schupfnudeln

Add the Schupfnudeln and bacon fried in the pan and stir in for 2 min./100°C/Reverse/Soft stirring level.
