Preparation (8 steps)
Prepare bread rolls
Cut 9 bread rolls from the previous day into cubes and place in a bowl.
Mix milk and eggs
In a separate bowl, whisk together 600 ml warm milk and 7 eggs.
Soak bread cubes
Pour the milk-egg mixture over the bread cubes and let it soak well.
Chop onions
Peel and halve 2 onions. Place in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec/speed 5.
Sauté onions
Add some oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min/120°C/speed 1.
Add onions to bread rolls
Add the sautéed onions to the soaked bread cubes.
Season and mix
Add salt, a good teaspoon of pepper, fresh parsley, and some nutmeg to the bread rolls and mix well. Let it soak again and season again if necessary.
Form and cook dumplings
Form dumplings from the bread mixture and place them in the Varoma. Pour 500 ml of water into the mixing bowl, attach the Varoma, and steam for 30 min/Varoma/speed 2.
