Description

This Soft Ring Cake, decorated with small chocolate eggs, is a real eye-catcher on any Easter table! I bake it every year for my family and it is always devoured in no time. The dough is incredibly soft and airy, and the chocolate eggs provide an extra dose of sweetness. The preparation with the Thermomix® is child's play and saves time. Perfect for a festive Easter breakfast or as a sweet surprise in between. The icing gives the cake an additional flavour. An absolute must for anyone who likes it sweet and festive!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 3 piece eggs
  • 325 g flour
  • 100 ml milk
  • 150 g sugar
  • 80 ml sunflower or corn seed oil
  • 2 ml vial Rum flavour
  • 16 g baking powder
  • 30 piece chocolate little eggs
  • 125 g cocoa icing

Preparation (7 steps)

Eggs and sugar in the bowl

Insert in the bowl 3 eggs and 150 g of sugar. Mix for 20 Sec./level 4.

Addition of oil and milk

Add 80 ml of sunflower or corn seed oil and 100 ml of milk in the bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./level 4.

Addition of flavour and baking powder

Add 2 ml of rum flavour and 16 g of baking powder in the bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./level 4.

Add 325 g of flour in the bowl. Knead for 2 Min./kneading level.

Addition of little eggs

10 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add 30 chocolate little eggs in the bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./reverse direction/level 2.

Baking in the oven

Pour the dough in a ring cake mould, buttered and floured. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes.

Icing

Once cooled, cover the ring cake with 125 g of cocoa icing.
