Description

This dish of chicken strips marinated in soy sauce is a real delight, perfect for a quick and tasty meal. I often prepare it for lunch or dinner because it is simple to make and pleases the whole family. The marinade made with soy sauce, garlic and thyme gives a unique flavor to the chicken, which becomes tender and juicy. The trick is to let the chicken marinate for at least two hours so that it soaks up the aromas well. Accompanied by sautéed vegetables, it is a complete and balanced dish. Feel free to vary the vegetables according to your desires and the season!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Chicken fillet
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 2 c. à soupe Soy sauce
  • 2 c. à soupe Olive oil
  • 2 branche Thyme
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Chicken in pieces and marinade

Cut the chicken fillets into cubes or strips and set aside. In a salad bowl, mix the olive oil with the soy sauce. Clean, pat dry and strip the thyme branches. Peel the garlic and put it in the Thermomix bowl. Finely chop the garlic for 3 Sec./Level 7. Add it to the mixture of olive oil and soy sauce, salt and pepper to your liking, then stir. Add the chicken cubes to this marinade, mix well until the chicken cubes are well coated with sauce, then film the salad bowl with cling film and place it in the refrigerator. Let the chicken cubes marinate for a minimum of 2 hours.

Preparation of onions

Peel the onion and cut it in half. Put the onion in the Thermomix bowl and chop it for 3 Sec./Level 5. Set aside the chopped onion.

Cooking the onions

Heat a little olive oil in a pan placed over high heat. When the olive oil is hot, sauté the chopped onion for 2 min or until translucent. Set aside.

Cooking the chicken

Take the chicken cubes out of the refrigerator, then add them to the chopped onion in the pan. Cook for about 7 to 10 min, stirring well, until the chicken cubes are golden brown. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.

Service

Once the chicken cubes are cooked, serve them immediately on the plates. Enjoy them immediately with white meat, poultry or fish as well as sautéed vegetables.
