Description

This hearty beef goulash soup is a savory main course that is especially warming in the cold season. With tender beef, potatoes, carrots and peppers, it is rich in flavor and very filling. Preparation in the Thermomix® simplifies the process and saves time. Perfect for a quick and easy lunch or dinner.

Ingredients (17 ingredients)

  • 500 g Beef goulash
  • 1 große Onion(s)
  • 2 Zehe/n Garlic
  • 2 EL Clarified butter
  • 800 ml Beef broth
  • 150 ml Red wine
  • Salt and pepper
  • 3 TL Paprika powder, hot
  • 3 EL Paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 EL Tomato paste
  • 2 EL Sugar
  • 4 Zweig/e Marjoram
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 3 große Potato(es)
  • 1 große Carrot(s)
  • 2 Bell pepper(s)
  • 0.5 Bund Parsley

Preparation (8 steps)

Chop onion and garlic

Place one large onion, finely diced, and two cloves of garlic, finely diced, in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Use the spatula to scrape everything down from the side.

Sauté onion and garlic

Add 2 tbsp clarified butter and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Brown the meat

Brown 500 g beef goulash in a separate pan with a little clarified butter until it has color all around. Then add to the onion-garlic mixture in the mixing bowl.

Add liquids and spices

Add 800 ml beef broth, 150 ml red wine, salt and pepper to taste, 3 tsp hot paprika powder, 3 tbsp sweet paprika powder, 1 tbsp tomato paste, 2 tbsp sugar, 4 sprigs marjoram (leaves roughly chopped) and 2 bay leaves to the mixing bowl.

Cook the goulash soup

Close the mixing bowl and cook for 40 min./100°C/speed 1/reverse.

Add vegetables

Add 3 large potatoes (diced), 1 large carrot (sliced) and 2 bell peppers (diced) to the mixing bowl.

Finish cooking the goulash soup

15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100 Reverse

Cook for another 15 min./100°C/speed 1/reverse until the vegetables are cooked.

Season and serve

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 2 Reverse

Add 0.5 bunch of parsley, finely chopped, and stir in for 5 sec./speed 2/reverse. Season the goulash soup with salt and pepper and serve.
