Description

These steamed dumplings with fruit compote are a delicious dessert, ideal for the winter season and especially suitable for Christmas. The recipe is designed for 6 servings and has a normal level of difficulty. The preparation takes about 40 minutes. The steamed dumplings are prepared in the Thermomix® and served with a fruity compote.

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 15 g Fresh yeast
  • 120 ml Milk, lukewarm
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 40 g Butter
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 1 Stück Egg yolk
  • Butter for greasing
  • 6 Stück Chocolate or nougat
  • 500 g Plums or apricots
  • 100 ml Apple or orange juice
  • 1 Stück Cinnamon stick
  • Sugar to taste

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare yeast dough

Put 250 g flour and 1 pinch of salt into the mixing bowl and mix. Press a depression into the middle. Crumble 15 g fresh yeast into the hollow. Add 120 ml lukewarm milk and 1 tsp sugar. Mix with some flour and let it rest covered in the mixing bowl for about 20 minutes. No Thermomix setting.

Knead yeast dough

Add 40 g sugar, 40 g butter, 1 egg and 1 egg yolk to the dough in the mixing bowl. Knead with the Patix dough knife for 2 min/kneading level to form a smooth dough. Leave covered in a warm place until the volume has increased significantly.

Prepare fruit

In the meantime, clean 500 g plums or apricots and cut into small pieces depending on their size. Put in a pot with 100 ml apple or orange juice, 1 cinnamon stick and sugar to taste and mix. No Thermomix setting.

Form steamed dumplings

Grease the sieve attachment with butter. Cut the yeast dough into six pieces and fill each with a piece of chocolate or nougat. Seal the dough well over the filling, form into a dumpling and place in the sieve attachment. No Thermomix setting.

Cook steamed dumplings

Place the sieve attachment on the pot and attach the EasyQuick with sealing ring 24 cm. Heat the pot on the highest level until the steam window, switch to a low level and cook in the steam area for 12 minutes.

Arrange

After the cooking time has elapsed, remove the sieve attachment. Arrange the steamed dumplings with the warm compote. No Thermomix setting.
