Description

This plum strudel is a rustic and delicious dessert, perfect for an autumn snack or an after-dinner dessert. The crispy puff pastry encloses a filling of mixed plums, sugar, potato starch and crumbled biscuits, creating a contrast of textures and irresistible flavors. The plum jam brushed on the surface gives a touch of extra sweetness and an inviting golden appearance. Preparing it with the Thermomix® is child's play and the result is always a success! Ideal to serve warm, perhaps accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  • 1 rotolo rectangular puff pastry
  • 250 g mixed plums
  • 50 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp potato starch
  • 30 g dry biscuits
  • plum jam for brushing

Preparation of plums

Pour 250 g of mixed plums cut into small pieces into the bowl. Add 50 g of sugar, 2 tablespoons of potato starch and 30 g of crumbled dry biscuits.

Mix the filling

Gently mix the plum mixture in the bowl to combine all the ingredients. Use the spatula to collect the mixture from the walls of the bowl.

Roll out and fill the puff pastry

Unroll 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Distribute the plum mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a free edge of about 2 cm.

Seal the edges

Fold the lateral edges of the puff pastry over the filling to seal the strudel.

Roll up the strudel

Gently roll the stuffed puff pastry on itself, forming a strudel. Place the strudel on the baking sheet with the fold facing down.

Cut and brush

Make oblique cuts on the surface of the strudel to allow steam to escape during cooking. Brush the surface with plum jam as needed.

Baking in the oven

Bake the strudel in a preheated ventilated oven at 180°C for 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
