Description

This recipe for tender cream cheese rolls is ideal for a cozy breakfast or brunch. The rolls are particularly juicy and aromatic thanks to the cream cheese. Preparation with the Thermomix® takes about 120 minutes, including dough resting time. The recipe yields 8 servings and is a delicious addition to any snack.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 200 g Water
  • 20 g fresh Yeast
  • 0.5 TL Honey
  • 400 g Wheat Flour Type 550
  • 1 EL Olive oil
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 75 g Cream Cheese Double Cream Level

Preparation (8 steps)

Activate yeast

Put 200 g water, 20 g fresh yeast and 0.5 tsp honey into the mixing bowl and mix for 2 minutes/37°C/speed 2.

Knead dough

Thermomix® Setting

Add 400 g wheat flour type 550, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp salt and 75 g cream cheese double cream level and knead for 4 minutes/kneading setting.

Dough resting

Place the dough in a bowl, cover and let rest in a warm place for 1 hour.

Shape rolls

Place the dough on a floured work surface and divide into 8 equal pieces. Round off, shape the dough pieces and cut a pattern with a sharp knife.

Add seeds (optional)

Moisten part of the rolls with water and roll in selected seeds.

Baking with lid

Place the dough pieces in a lightly greased baking pan and cover with a lid. Slide into the cold oven and bake for 30 minutes at 230°C top/bottom heat in the lowest shelf.

Baking without lid

Remove the lid and bake for another 10-15 minutes at 230°C top/bottom heat until the rolls are golden brown.

Let cool

Remove the rolls from the baking pan and let them cool on a wire rack.
