Description

This hazelnut cocoa cake is a true classic that I have baked many times. It is super juicy and the hazelnuts and cocoa give it a great aroma. The preparation is very simple and quick, especially with the Thermomix®. Perfect for Sunday coffee or as a little treat in between. I think it tastes best when it's still slightly warm. If you like, you can sprinkle it with powdered sugar or cover it with a chocolate glaze. An absolute must for all cake lovers!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 1 container Sour cream
  • 0.25 container Sugar
  • 3 piece Egg(s)
  • 0.5 container Oil
  • 1 container Ground hazelnuts
  • 1 container Cocoa powder instant
  • 1 container Flour
  • 1 Pck. Baking powder
  • 1 etwas Fat for the mold
  • 1 etwas Flour or breadcrumbs for the mold

Preparation (4 steps)

Mix ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Add sour cream, sugar, eggs and oil to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec/level 4 until frothy. Scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Stir in hazelnuts and cocoa

10 sec/Speed 3

Add ground hazelnuts and cocoa powder to the mixing bowl and stir in for 10 sec/level 3. Scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Fold in flour and baking powder

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 3

Add flour and baking powder to the mixing bowl and fold in for 15 sec/level 3. Scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Baking

Pour the batter into a greased and floured or breadcrumbed baking pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for approx. 45 minutes.
