Description

Chocolate crescent cookies, perfect for Christmas.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 350 g Flour
  • 250 g Butter, soft
  • 200 g Hazelnuts, ground
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 25 g Cocoa
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 2 Stück Eggs
  • 100 g Dark chocolate

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare ingredients

Preheat oven to 175°C top/bottom heat. Line baking sheets with baking paper.

Grind hazelnuts

10 sec/Speed 10

Add 200 g hazelnuts to the mixing bowl and grind for 10 sec/speed 10. Transfer and set aside.

Mix sugar and butter

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Add 250 g soft butter in pieces, 100 g sugar, 1 packet vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt to the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec/speed 4.

Add eggs

20 sec/Speed 4

Add 2 eggs and mix for another 20 sec/speed 4.

Add flour, cocoa and nuts

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 350 g flour, 25 g cocoa and the ground hazelnuts and process for 2 min/kneading stage to form a dough.

Process dough

Shape the dough into a roll and wrap in cling film. Place in the refrigerator for approx. 30 minutes.

Shape and bake crescents

Remove the dough in portions and shape into rolls approx. 1 cm thick. Cut off approx. 1 cm thick slices and shape into crescents. Place on the prepared baking sheets and bake in the preheated oven for approx. 12-15 minutes.

Decorate crescents

After baking, let the crescents cool slightly. Melt 100 g dark chocolate in a water bath or in the microwave. Dip the ends of the crescents in the chocolate and let them dry on a wire rack.
