Description

This hearty Hungarian-style goulash soup with beef, potatoes, peppers and onions is a warming main course for cold days. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 90 minutes, with the active working time being about 30 minutes. The recipe is designed for 4 servings and is ideal for lovers of hearty cuisine. The red chili pepper gives the soup a pleasant spiciness. Perfect as a filling family meal or for anyone who likes it spicy.

  • 600 gr Beef, ready-to-cook from the shoulder
  • 400 gr Firm-cooking potatoes
  • 300 gr Onions
  • 2 Stück Garlic cloves
  • 2 Stück Red bell peppers
  • 1 Stück Red chili pepper
  • 2 EL Butter
  • 2 EL Sweet paprika
  • 3 EL Tomato paste
  • 1.3 Liter Beef broth
  • 1 Stück Bay leaf
  • 1 TL Caraway seeds
  • 3 Stück Peppercorns
  • nach Geschmack Salt and pepper
  • 2 Stiele Marjoram

Chop onions

Sauté onions

Add butter to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Sear meat

Sear beef in a separate pan.

Add spices and tomato paste

Add sweet paprika, tomato paste, caraway seeds, peppercorns, salt and pepper to the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./level 3.

Add meat and broth

Add seared meat, beef broth and bay leaf to the mixing bowl and cook for 60 min./100°C/reverse rotation level 1. Leave the measuring cup on.

Peel and dice potatoes and add to the mixing bowl. Cook for another 20 min./100°C/reverse rotation level 1. Leave the measuring cup on.
