Dieses Rezept für Honey-Garlic Shrimp ist ein absoluter Knaller, wenn es mal schnell gehen muss! Ich mache es super gerne, wenn ich wenig Zeit habe, aber trotzdem etwas Leckeres auf den Tisch bringen möchte. Die Kombination aus süßem Honig, würzigem Knoblauch und einem Hauch Schärfe ist einfach unwiderstehlich. Die Garnelen werden im Thermomix® schonend gedämpft und dann in einer köstlichen Soße geschwenkt. Perfekt zu Reis oder einfach so als kleiner Snack. Ein asiatisch inspiriertes Gericht, das garantiert jedem schmeckt!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 450 g frozen large shell-on shrimp
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp cold water
  • 0.33 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp Sriracha sauce
  • 2 piece green onions, chopped

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare the steamer

Pour 1 cup (240ml) of water into the Thermomix bowl. Place the steamer basket inside.

Steam the shrimp

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Place 1 pound (450g) of frozen large shell-on shrimp in the steamer basket. Close the lid and attach the Varoma. Steam for 10 Min./Varoma/Stufe 1.

Prepare the cornstarch slurry

In a small bowl, whisk together 1 teaspoon cornstarch and 2 teaspoons cold water until smooth. Set aside.

Combine sauce ingredients

Add ⅓ cup soy sauce, ¼ cup honey, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 2 teaspoons vegetable oil, and 2 teaspoons Sriracha sauce to the cornstarch slurry. Whisk until well combined.

Drain and rinse the shrimp

Carefully remove the steamer basket with the cooked shrimp. Set aside. Discard the water from the Thermomix bowl and rinse it.

Thicken the sauce

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Pour the sauce into the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 2 Min./100°C/Stufe 2 until thickened.

Coat the shrimp

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Linkslauf Speed 1 Reverse

Add the steamed shrimp to the Thermomix bowl with the thickened sauce. Mix for 30 Sek./Linkslauf Stufe 1 to coat the shrimp evenly.

Serve and garnish

Transfer the honey-garlic shrimp to serving plates and garnish with 2 chopped green onions.
