Description

This recipe for a stuffed chicken pie is a real feast! I especially like to make it for Christmas or New Year's Eve, when the whole family gets together. The tender chicken, combined with mushrooms, bacon and a creamy sauce, is simply irresistible. The crispy puff pastry shell makes the dish perfect. It is a bit more complex, but the effort is definitely worth it! A tip: The pie can be prepared well in advance and baked in the oven just before serving. This gives you more time for the guests.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 3 piece eggs
  • Crème fraîche
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 200 g bacon
  • 1 null chicken
  • 2 null onions
  • 1 null puff pastry

Preparation (9 steps)

Chop onions

Thermomix® Setting
3 sec/Speed 5

Put 2 onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Scrape down with the spatula.

Prepare bacon and mushrooms

Cut 200 g bacon into cubes. Clean 200 g mushrooms and cut into slices.

Sauté bacon and mushrooms

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add the bacon and mushrooms to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 5 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare chicken

Cut 1 chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and pepper.

Fry chicken

Fry the chicken pieces in a pan with some oil until golden brown. Then add to the bacon and mushrooms in the mixing bowl.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add 3 eggs and Crème fraîche to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 3.

Mix filling

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add the sauce to the chicken pieces, bacon and mushrooms in the mixing bowl and mix for 5 sec./reverse/speed 2.

Fill pie

Place a sheet of puff pastry in a cake tin. Spread the chicken filling on top. Cover with a second sheet of puff pastry and seal the edges well.

Bake pie

Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 180°C top/bottom heat for about 45 minutes until golden brown.
