Description

This creamy frosting is an absolute must for every cake or tart lover! I've been making it for years and it's always a hit. The combination of butter, powdered sugar and cream cheese results in an incredibly delicious and fluffy cream that is perfect for decorating cupcakes, tarts or cakes. It is so easy to prepare and tastes simply delicious! It is especially suitable for birthdays or other festive occasions. And the best part: it's ready in no time!

Ingredients (3 ingredients)

  • 100 g Butter (room temperature)
  • 100 g Powdered sugar
  • 200 g Cream cheese (double cream level)

Preparation (5 steps)

Beat butter until creamy

Thermomix® Setting

Place 100 g butter (room temperature) in the mixing bowl and beat until creamy for 2 min./speed 4. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Add powdered sugar

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Speed 3

Sift 100 g of powdered sugar into the mixing bowl through a sieve and stir in for 1 min./speed 3. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula.

Prepare cream cheese

Place 200 g cream cheese (double cream level) in a separate bowl and stir until smooth with a spoon.

Mix cream cheese and butter mixture

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 2

Add 3 tablespoons of the butter mixture from the mixing bowl to the cream cheese in the bowl and stir with a spoon. Then add the remaining butter mixture from the mixing bowl to the bowl and carefully fold in for 10 sec./speed 2. Do not stir for too long, otherwise the frosting will become too liquid.

Cool frosting

Place the cream cheese frosting in the refrigerator for approx. 30 minutes.
