Description

This Italian Style Stuffed Meatloaf is a hearty and flavorful dish that's perfect for a family dinner or a special occasion. I've been making this recipe for years, and it's always a hit! The combination of lean ground beef, rich pasta sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese creates a delicious and satisfying meal. It's easy to prepare, especially with the help of the Thermomix®, and the aroma while it bakes is simply irresistible. This meatloaf is best served warm with a side of your favorite vegetables or a simple salad. It's also great for leftovers the next day!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 cup pasta sauce
  • 0.5 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup minced onion
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 piece egg, beaten
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 0.5 tsp oregano
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Mince Garlic

Place 2 large cloves of garlic into the Thermomix bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 7.

Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, thoroughly mix 2 pounds lean ground beef, 1 cup pasta sauce, ½ cup Italian-style bread crumbs, ¼ cup minced onion, ¼ cup ketchup, 1 egg (beaten), the minced garlic from the Thermomix, ½ teaspoon oregano, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper together using your hands.

Assemble Meatloaf

Spread 1/2 the meat mixture into the bottom of a loaf pan. Spread 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese over the center of the meat. Spread remaining meat mixture over the cheese, pressing edges of meat together on the sides to seal in the cheese.

Bake Meatloaf

Bake in the preheated oven until meat is no longer pink in the center, about 1 hour. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C). This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
