Description

A medium-difficulty main course of Indian chicken in a rich butter sauce, perfect for year-round enjoyment.

Ingredients (20 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 1 TL Paprika powder
  • 1 EL Lime juice
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 150 g Yogurt
  • 1 TL Cayenne pepper
  • 1 EL Garam Masala
  • 1 Zehe/n Garlic
  • 1 Stück(e) Ginger
  • 4 EL Butter
  • 1 Onion(s)
  • 500 g Tomatoes, strained
  • 1 TL Cinnamon
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 2 TL Cayenne pepper
  • 1 Stück(e) Ginger
  • 1 Zehe/n Garlic
  • 1 EL Honey
  • 150 ml Cream
  • Coriander leaves

Preparation (9 steps)

Prepare marinade

Cut 500 g chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and place in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon paprika powder, 1 tablespoon lime juice or lemon juice, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup yogurt (150 g), 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 1 tablespoon Garam Masala, 1 clove garlic (pressed) and 1 piece of ginger (thumb-sized, grated). Mix everything well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Chop onion and garlic

Put 1 peeled onion into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 5. Use the spatula to push down from the edge.

Sauté onion

Add 4 tablespoons of butter to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Add garlic and ginger

Add 1 clove of garlic and 1 piece of ginger (thumb-sized) to the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./level 7. Use the spatula to push down from the edge.

Prepare tomato sauce

Add 500 g strained tomatoes, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper to the mixing bowl and cook for 10 min./100°C/level 1.

Refine sauce

Add 1 tablespoon of honey and 150 ml of cream to the mixing bowl and stir in for 2 min./90°C/level 1.

Fry chicken

Fry the marinated chicken in a pan with some oil until it is cooked.

Add chicken to sauce

Add the fried chicken to the sauce in the mixing bowl and heat for 2 min./90°C/reverse rotation level 1.
