Description

This soft ring cake, decorated with small chocolate eggs, is a real eye-catcher on any Easter table! I bake it every year for my family and it is always devoured in no time. The dough is incredibly soft and airy, and the chocolate eggs provide an extra dose of sweetness. Preparation with the Thermomix® is child's play and saves time. Perfect for a festive Easter breakfast or as a sweet surprise in between. The glaze gives the cake an additional flavor. An absolute must for anyone who likes it sweet and festive!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 3 piece eggs
  • 325 g flour
  • 100 ml milk
  • 150 g sugar
  • 80 ml sunflower or corn seed oil
  • 2 ml vial Rum Aroma
  • 16 g baking powder
  • 30 piece chocolate eggs
  • 125 g cocoa glaze

Preparation (7 steps)

Eggs and sugar in the bowl

Insert 3 eggs and 150 g of sugar into the bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Speed 4.

Addition of oil and milk

Thermomix® Setting

Add 80 ml of sunflower or corn seed oil and 100 ml of milk into the bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Speed 4.

Addition of flavoring and baking powder

20 sec/Speed 4

Add 2 ml of rum flavoring and 16 g of baking powder into the bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Speed 4.

Addition of flour

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 325 g of flour into the bowl. Knead for 2 Min./Kneading stage.

Addition of the eggs

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add 30 chocolate eggs into the bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Reverse/Speed 2.

Baking in the oven

Pour the dough into a greased and floured ring cake mold. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes.

Glazing

Once cooled, cover the ring cake with 125 g of cocoa glaze.
