A festive drip cake with a refreshing lime flavor, perfect for Easter or birthdays.

Ingredients (17 ingredients)

  • 250 g soft Butter
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 5 piece Eggs (size M)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 2 tsp Mint syrup
  • 4 tbsp Milk
  • 525 g Philadelphia Classic Double Cream Level
  • 125 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp grated zest of an organic Lime
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 150 g Bittersweet chocolate coating
  • 100 g Whipped cream
  • colorful Easter sweets for decoration
  • Fat and flour for the molds
  • a few drops of green food coloring

Preparation (10 steps)

Stir butter, sugar and salt until creamy

Put soft butter, sugar and salt in the mixing bowl and stir for 3 min./level 3.

Stir in eggs

Add eggs one at a time and stir in for 20 sec./level 3 each.

Mix dry ingredients

Mix flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.

Mix liquid and dry ingredients

Add flour mixture, mint syrup and milk and stir in for 30 sec./level 3.

Color dough

Add a few drops of green food coloring and stir in for 10 sec./level 3.

Bake dough

Fill the dough into 2 greased and floured springform pans (à 20 cm Ø). Bake at 180 °C (fan oven: 160 °C) for 20-25 minutes. Remove and let cool.

Prepare cream

30 sec/Speed 3

Put Philadelphia, powdered sugar, grated lime zest and lime juice in the mixing bowl and stir for 30 sec./level 3.

Assemble cake

Halve each base horizontally and spread with approx. ¼ of the cream. Assemble in a cake ring, refrigerate for approx. 2 hours. Release the cake ring, spread the remaining cream all around the cake and refrigerate again.

Melt chocolate coating

Put the chocolate coating in pieces in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./level 8. Then add whipped cream and melt for 3 min./50°C/level 2.

Decorate cake

Spread the chocolate coating smoothly on top of the cake and carefully let it run down the sides in noses. Decorate with sweets.
