Description

This apple pie with cinnamon is a classic that never fails. The combination of the tender and juicy apples with the spiced aroma of cinnamon is simply irresistible. The recipe is quite simple, although it requires a bit of patience to prepare the apples and the dough. I usually use pre-made shortcrust pastry to save time, but if you feel like it, you can make it homemade. It's perfect for an autumn afternoon or to celebrate a birthday. Go ahead and try it, you'll love it!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 2 láminas Shortcrust pastry
  • 1 kg apples
  • 2 piece lemons
  • 100 g margarine
  • Icing sugar
  • 3 tbsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 rama Cinnamon

Prepare the apples

Peel 1 kg of apples, remove the core and cut into eighths. Set aside.

Melt the margarine and cook the apples

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/194°F/Giro a la izquierda/Velocidad cuchara 90 Reverse

Place 100 g of margarine in the Thermomix bowl and program 2 Min./50°C/Speed 2 to melt it. Add the chopped apples, the juice of 2 lemons, a little sugar (to taste) and 1 cinnamon stick. Program 20 Min./90°C/Reverse direction/Spoon speed. Remove the cinnamon stick when finished.

Preheat the oven and prepare the dough

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Roll out a sheet of shortcrust pastry and line a pie tin. Prick the bottom several times with a fork. Bake the dough for 10 Min./180°C/no speed to pre-bake it. Set aside.

Fill the pie

Place the cooked apples over the pre-baked dough. Pour the resulting syrup from cooking the apples over the pie. Mix 3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon with icing sugar to taste and sprinkle over the apples.

Cover and bake the pie

Cover the pie with the other sheet of shortcrust pastry, pressing the edges well. Make a hole in the center to allow steam to escape. Brush the surface with beaten egg (do not use Thermomix for this). Bake at 180°C for 30 Min./no speed, or until golden brown.
